Driving highway 101 we stopped for lunch at a pull over to view and sketch the beach scene before our eyes. We were near Ruby beach and it was a rare clear day along the entire coastline.
Usually the weather along the coast is foggy, drizzly, and cool while inland the temps can be scorching. But, yesterday the weather was enjoyable for us to take a peek of the ocean through the gaps in the trees.
The Washington coastline does not offer a good ocean access to its beaches due to the Native American tribal property and the Olympic National Park that contain most of the shoreline. This is good to help keep our beaches from becoming commercialized that creating an unhealthy environment. I love the unique pristine feeling of its beautiful natural setting.
