The sky was gray, wind was blowing the leaves off the colorful trees, the road wet from last nights rain, small puddles on the road with reflection of sky and nearby trees and the small birds were enjoying the small particles and seeds that drifted with the wind. All of this was happening on this mornings walk...so refreshing.

  1. Lois, the same counts for me. I was busy with a few projects. But it is always delightful to return to your blog and see how you are doing ….walking and sketching.

  2. Thank you, Paula. This busy summer I missed the contact with my on-line artist’s friends who live in far away places. Now that some other necessary projects have been completed I will be able to share stories of journeys and adventures with them.

Some times the gray cloudy days can have a variety of soft subtle colors in the clouds, trees, shrubs, grasses, waters and mountains. All of that creates a mood and atmosphere that I like. A variety of birds must enjoy it too since they hang around and survive through the stormy cold winter months.

  3. Indeed, I agree with Jeff about your appreciative audience.

It is very grey, windy and wet here too now. We just had our first big autumn storm.
I always hope those storms will bring some new birds to our balcony.
Last year a robin appeared for two days. I think it went home after it felt strong and rested again.
